Dr Martens “With Bouncing Soles”

By the later 1960s, skinheads started to wear them, "DMs" being the usual naming, and by the late 1970s, they were popular among scooter riders, punks, some new wave musicians, and members of other youth subcultures. Meanwhile, US Hardcore musicians touring the UK began to take pairs of DM’s back to the west coast, thus inadvertently starting American subculture’s adoption of the brand. The boots and shoes became popular in the 1990s as grunge fashion arose. The brand also became synonymous with festival culture. Because of its popularity, Dr. Martens department store was opened in Covent Garden in London, in 1994.

Kickers

In 1970, the french Daniel Raufast came across a poster advertising Hair, the musical. Interested by all the barefooted youngsters wearing jeans, he developed a new shoe concept which he believed to be more compatible with the blue-jean generation. The designer Jacques Chevallereau then created the first 'jean boot'. This new shoe was very different because of the use of nubuck, shapes that looked more like short boots than regular shoes. The success was huge and within one season, Kickers production capacity grew from 300 to 12,000 pairs per month. Immediately successful in France, then Germany, by 1974, Kickers were selling in over 70 countries.

Vans "The most famous skate shoes"

On March 16, 1966, at 704 East Broadway in Anaheim, California, brothers Paul Van Doren and James Van Doren and Gordon C. Lee opened the first Vans store under the name The Van Doren Rubber Company. The business manufactured shoes and sold them directly to the public. On that first morning, twelve customers purchased Vans deck shoes, which are now known as "Authentic". The company displayed three styles of shoes, but on the opening day, the company had only manufactured display models without any inventory ready to sell, the store rack boxes were actually empty.
